Mission

The mission of the Hanover Conservation Council is to promote the appreciation and conservation of land and natural habitat in Hanover.

The Council achieves its mission through programs in land conservation, education and monitoring community issues. Our programs are run by community volunteers. Enjoy the activities of the Council by taking an Adventure Trip, taking a walk at Mink Brook or Balch Hill, working on conserved land, working with children through our partnership with the Bernice A. Ray School or by simply becoming a member.

Research on Council Lands

If you are conducting research on Council lands please let us know. We are very interested in the results of your research and we would like to be sensitive to the study area as we work on various stewardship activities. Please contact us if you are working at Mink Brook, Slade Brook or Balch Hill.
